The Dr. Betty Shabazz Delta Academy provides an opportunity for local chapters of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. to enrich and enhance the education that our young females (ages 11-14) receive in public schools across the nation. Specifically, the Columbia Alumnae Chapter (CAC) prepares young girls for full participation as leaders in the 21st Century by: <!--break-->

- Augmenting the girls’ scholarship in the fields of math, science, and technology;
- Enhancing the girls’ opportunities to provide service in the form of leadership through service learning, and;
- Increasing the girls’ sisterhood defined as the cultivation and maintenance of relationships
To accomplish this goal, CAC plans and implements numerous activities and projects for its participants throughout the year.
